Enhanced Flight Instrument Systems

The new FlexPerf™ Trip Performance Module for Universal Avionics’ SBAS-Flight Management System (FMS) and Multi-Mission Management System (MMMS) provides advanced fuel saving predictions for aircraft performance in Climb, Cruise and Descent phases of flight.

The heart of FlexPerf™ is a “flexible” intelligent design feature continuously recording actual aircraft fuel burn during every phase of flight. Using this data, FlexPerf applies improvements to the baseline aircraft performance data stored in the FMS/MMMS.

An Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) incorporating a Synthetic Vision System (SVS) and Combined Vision System (CVS), offers the pilot a range of operational capabilities as well as increased safety and an unprecedented level of situational awareness.

Vision-1™ pilot’s view is designed for Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Electronic Attitude Director Indicator (EADI) applications. It provides the pilot with a perspective as if looking out the flight deck window. The system maintains the standard foreground symbology and replaces the blue/brown background with imagery depicting the terrain in real-time complete with pitch and roll orientation.

Airdrop is an optional module available for Universal Avionics Multi-Mission Management System (MMMS) that calculates an Air Release Point (ARP), and provides guidance and steering to a position offset where the delivery should exit the aircraft for a landing at the desired drop zone.
