GBSR at Project Capstone Convergence 2026

4 August 2026

Project Convergence Capstone (PCC) 2026 provided a valuable opportunity for Elbit Systems UK's Ground-Based Surveillance Radar (GBSR) to demonstrate its latest capability alongside the Army Experimentation Group, whose sponsorship enabled our participation.

Operating in demanding conditions, including extreme heat, GBSR showcased the resilience of its sensor heads while demonstrating a range of enhanced capabilities designed to give military users greater situational awareness, faster decision-making and improved command and control.

The latest developments include:

  • Full TAK integration with WinTAK embedded into the operating system
  • Live sensor feeds shared real time detections, directly into the Joint Fires operating picture
  • A fully networked capability - connecting sensors, teams on the ground and commanders in real time
  •  A common operating picture that enables faster decisions and greater coordination across the battlespace

By allowing soldiers to view real time detections from GBSR sensors within the environment they already use, information is shared instantly across teams, improving situational awareness and enabling faster, more informed decisions across the force.

Ultimately, it's about giving soldiers the information they need, when they need it—helping them operate more safely, make decisions faster and deliver greater operational effect.
