The opportunity: 

We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join our team. As a Software Engineering Manager you will support the Head of Systems Engineering to deliver an innovative, technology led and efficient engineering function that supports all Business Units and Programmes.

What will you be doing: 

As a Software Engineering Manager you will be: 

·     Supporting the production and maintenance of all Software Engineering and Integration processes

·     Ensuring processes are followed and evidence is documented to support and necessary audits – internal, external and accreditation

·     Identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending solutions for incorporation in to both the engineering processes and wider business processes

·     Identifying training opportunities (either in-house or through external providers) to ensure all engineers remain current and competent in their roles

·     Management of software integration labs – elicitation of project requirements, recommending solutions, working with the facilities team to implement them and support during delivery

Skills for success: 

·      Previous experience as a Software Engineering Manager

·      Knowledge and experience in software Development (we mostly use C# and Java)

·      Knowledge and experience in Agile/Scrum
