The opportunity:
We are looking for a Simulation Engineer to join our team. As a Simulation Engineer you will be working on the design and implementation of virtual training systems for military training purposes. The role will see you building and creating applications from scratch with a UI interface and backend capabilities. You will design how the application looks and should be coded.
Today, a significant portion of military training is done on a virtual basis, where the trainer has full control over the scenarios. Costs and risks are diminished while the trainee is having a real-world high fidelity training experience. With your skills and knowledge you’ll be contributing to the next generation of training.
What will you be doing:
As a Simulation Engineer you will be:
Designing and implementing sub-system emulations
Designing and implementing interface, monitoring and control applications
Deriving software requirements and tasks from system level requirements
Conducting integrations between third-party and Elbit Systems UK software
Problem-solving during tests and trials
Skills for success:
Experience working within a simulation environment
Experience with object-oriented languages – C# & C++.
Knowledge in networks (UDP, TCP, Multicast/Broadcast etc.)
Competent in problem solving and analytical techniques in a methodical and logical manner to solve development and integration challenges
Software Tools – Git, Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Office
