Based in Bristol one of the UK's fastest growing defence consultancies. iO Associates have a continued partnership with the group and we are looking for a senior systems engineer to join the organisation.


You will be working with a team of experienced and talented individuals across multiple disciplines and in an organisation that not only has the benefit of a global presence, but as a subsidiary means you will work in a small team environment, that is increasing rapidly and with lots of opportunity for growth.

Due to their recent success securing multiple new contracts, they now require talented individuals to join them on this exciting journey.


From a hands-on systems engineering role to spearheading new product development of EW Systems in the UK this role offers a lot!


They're on the search for a Systems Engineer with experience of EW, CEMA or Communication systems for defence. The initial stage of this position will give you the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in among bleeding edge electronics and EW systems abroad, where you'll bring that knowledge back to the UK.


These products sit within the electronic warfare (EW) domain and their portfolio has established them as a true market leader in the field. Over the last couple of years their UK footprint has grown and our systems and EW teams in the UK have grown year on year with the need now to bring onboard a number of skilled individuals to assist in product development and bids for the UK Royal Navy, RAF & Army.


The current team possesses a wealth of experience in the area and offers the perfect chance to join a growing team, work on bleeding edge EW systems and also learn from some of the industries best.


You'll be one of the core starting members of a team that'll work closely with the MOD and internal stakeholders both internationally and in the UK. You'll have full end-to-end exposure of project lifecycle with opportunity to have an impact on the success of your product and a career progression that could see you growing further teams and product streams as growth continues.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Support in Developing system architectures
  • Producing and validating requirements
  • Writing sub-system specifications
  • Support the development of integration plans and procedures
  • Support the setting up systems for tests and trials
