The opportunity:

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join our team. As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for working with the manufacturing engineering team to ensure a quality and robust process to ensure products are built and tested to the required accreditation.

What will you be doing:

As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician, you will be:

  • Assembly, Integration and test of Elbit Systems UK products with a view to transferring to the production environment.

  • Support the implementation of changes and continuous improvement.

  • Ensuring the quality of production using SPC and following written SOPs (Standard operating procedures) and RA (Risk Assessments).

  • Recording equipment performance in preparation for the company's ‘Smart Factory’ data collection system for measuring performance.

Skills for success:
  • Solid practical knowledge of such skills as; mechanical and electrical assembly, wiring looms electrical/electronic soldering and bench assembly.

  • Practical experience working with digital manufacturing solutions.

  • Proficient in Office 365 toolset, ERP and PLM software.

  • Awareness of Advanced Product Quality Process and Production Part Approval (APQP and PPA)

  • Awareness of Design for Assembly (DfA)
