The opportunity:

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer (assembly processes) to join our team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for the creation of manufacturing processes with documentation and data which prescribes assembly, integration and test methods.

 

What will you be doing:

As an Assembly Process Engineer, you will be:

  • Definition of Lean process flows to optimise the manufacturing and test system design and layouts.

  • Representing the manufacturing team in Integrated Project Teams (IPT) ensuring best practice is adhered to for Design for Assembly (DfA) and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA)

  • Drive the identification and resolution of process and product issues within Production Operations, relating to Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery.

  • Creating the specification, design, manufacture, installation & testing of production equipment, tooling, fixtures & rigs and testing stations.

  • The management of Bills of Materials, routings, standard operating procedures, process instructions etc.

 

Skills for success:

  • Solid practical knowledge of such skills as; mechanical and electrical assembly, wiring looms electrical/electronic soldering and bench assembly.

  • Worked within Configuration Management & Change Control environment.

  • An understanding of working with digital manufacturing solutions.

  • Solid appreciation of Health, Safety & Environment regulations.

  • Proficient in Office 365 toolset, ERP and PLM software.
