Purpose
The IT Engineer will be the first point of contact for all IT aspects on company level, including programmes’ related requirements and general desktop and server support, while working on a wide variety of exciting and challenging IT projects.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage – control and maintain Computer Network
- Management of VMware environment – to ensure efficient running and availability of Virtual Servers
- Ensure correct deployment, installation and smooth running of various IT systems within the company
- Provide IT support to all the ESUK-A&S employees
- Administration of Active Directory and group policy to ensure efficient operation of user rights, resource allocation, profile distribution and software deployment
- Ensure continuous operation of services including Exchange, SQL Server, IIS, WSUS and Anti-Virus
- Administration of DNS, DHCP, Firewall and VPN to ensure fault free operation of IT infrastructure
- Management of Disaster Recovery Plan and day to day monitoring of Backup and Restore Procedure, and configuration – to ensure business critical systems are recoverable
- Assure an appropriate level of security for all servers and the information stored on them
- Proactively seek out any areas for improvement and make recommendations
- Respond to technical problems in a timely manner and escalate when required
- Recommend, test and perform the installation of upgrades and patches to supported applications and operating systems
- Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation of tasks associated with the operation of the IT Department
- Liaise with support contract suppliers regarding hardware problems
- Manage the IT Hardware Asset Register
- Ensure the company meets all of its IT security obligations

Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes
